Neuropsychologist Dr. Robert Barth
Dr. Barth is a Fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology, a peer-nominated and peer-reviewed recognition of his significant contribution to science and practice.
He practices, writes, and lectures in the following areas (as well as others):

Chronic Pain of all types, including:
- Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS is the concept that replaced reflex sympathetic dystrophy - “RSD” and “causalgia”)
- Headache
- Back pain

The American Medical Association has included Dr. Barth on a list of “nationally recognized expert authors,” and has repeatedly asked him to contribute to AMA publications and programs. His work with the AMA has included serving as:

Community Involvement
For over a decade, Dr. Barth has also taken a leadership role with Hospice of Chattanooga (HOC), a non-profit community healthcare service. HOC is reportedly the largest healthcare provider in Chattanooga, with an average daily census of approximately 550 patients as of the beginning of 2010, and a focus on pain management and palliative care at the end of life. Dr. Barth has served as Chairman of the Board, Director, Foundation Director, Compliance and Ethics Committee Chair, and Research Committee Chair for HOC. He has done all of this on a volunteer basis.
Education
Dr. Barth’s full-time education included:
- Harvard Medical School post-doctoral fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital
- Harvard Medical School pre-doctoral internship training also at Massachusetts General Hospital
- Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of South Florida
- Masters degree in psychology also from the University of South Florida
- Bachelors degree in psychology from Loyola University in New Orleans
